Yesterday was quite a wonderful day. With spring-like weather encouraging me to bust out my favorite polka-dot shirt (which I did, enthusiastically), I headed off the Burleson to eat lunch with a longtime dear friend. Abby and I have been best friends since the grand old age of two, and have seen each other through a lot. We grew up attending the same church until I moved to Weatherford in 4th grade and she to Illinois in 6th grade, and it was there that we formed the Grace Girls, our Christian singing group that sadly didn't make it big time. Apparently, you really have to write your own music to make it big, not just cover Jump5 songs. :) I love Abby to DEATH and I'm so happy that she has chosen to study at Baylor! I'm hoping that we take advantage of every opportunity we can see each other before she moves back to Illinois.
After that, Lance and I decided to take advantage of the beeYOOTiful weather and bike around the lake. Now, before yesterday, I hadn't ridden a bike in 8 years y'all. It was scary at first, but SO.much.fun! We rode the whole way around the lake, 7.5 miles, and I enjoyed every moment of it. The beauty our God has created with a single breath is just amazing. I love to bask in His creation and praise Him because of it. We plan to complete many more bike rides before the weather becomes too hot!
Tonight we meet up with our Bible study group to watch the Super Bowl and enjoy some fellowship.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend as much as I have! Go Ravens!
